Scone Museum NSW

This is a very special trough as it has been hand made by stone masons and I believe it would have  be made in about 1920. It is interesting to note that George Bills died in 1927 . Would like to learn more history about this trough, any one who can help contact George Gemmill  at billshorsetroughs@hotmail.com

The marble plaque on the end says Annis and George Bills Australia.

Scone is reputed to be the horse capital on Australia. There is many famous stud farms in the Area .The Museun is located in Kingdon Street

Thanks Nancy for sending me these photos.

Hello George, Would you have the history of the trough at Ingleburn N.S.W. It originally sat with a street directory attached to it next to the railway station. My guess it was placed there in the 1950’s.It got moved to where it sits today in the 1980’s. Kind regards Pete.
