George and Annis Bills

Here is two photos one of George Bills and one of his wife Annis George was born in Brighton England 11/3/1859 he was the 4th child of Richard and Elizabeth Bills ,They had 14 children 3 of whom died at birth.
The Bills family first migrated to New Zealand before before moving to Echuca Victoria in1873. In his early life George worked with his father and some of his brothers  in Echuca where they were involved in trapping and trading birds it was there that George first developed his love for animals.
George went on the become a very successful business man and along with his brothers they owned a company which manufactured inner spring mattress. George passed away on the 14/12/1927 and he was cremated at the Fawkner Cemetery,
George married Annis Swann in Brisbane on the 18th of May 1885 They did not have any children but both shared a love of all animals Annis died when they were on a holiday to England a in 20th June 1920. Annis was buried in the Brighton Cemetery England.

Collecting information about George Bills has been me hobby for over 35 years now and finding locations for the water troughs he supplied .My collection is now over 300 of where these troughs can still be seen.
